Charles "Chuck" B. Addis, age 90 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his home following his declining health. Chuck was born on June 4, 1926 in Coal Grove, Ohio to Brady and Marietta (Dickess) Addis and graduated from Coal Grove High School and joined the United States Navy at the age of 17.

Chuck spent the next 30 years serving in the Navy until his discharge on August 18, 1963. Chuck then worked as a manager at various furniture moving companies throughout Michigan until his retirement. Chuck married Marie Jolly on August 31, 1946 in Trenton, Michigan and she preceded him in death on August 21, 2000. Chuck later met and married Jan Farber on October 6, 2001 in Hesperia.

Chuck was a member of the Hesperia Presbyterian Church and had served as an Elder, Deacon and taught Sunday School at the Sault Ste. Marie Presbyterian Church; was a life member of the Hesperia American Legion, #411; has been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 63 years where he was past Worshipful Master and was a member of the Hesperia Masonic Lodge; was a member of the Shrine Club; former member of the Lions Club, D.A.V. and various other civic organizations.

Chuck has spent the winter months in Harlington, Texas where he truly enjoyed working at the food pantry and working with Habitat For Humanity until 2014.
