RICHARD LEE RAY
Age 81, of Springfield, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hearth and Home.
He was born on September 15, 1935, in Springfield, OH, the son of the late Russell F. and Goldie (Bixler) Ray.
Richard is survived by his three children, Pam Reames, Bonnie (Scott) Dobie and Russell Ray; grandchildren, Heather (TJ) Alexander, Joshua (Danielle) Parret, Ryan (Erica) Dobie and Kyle (Amber) Taylor; eight great grandchildren and special friends, John Rafinsky and Ken Ernest.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2012, Catherine (Winks) Ray; brother, Delbert Ray; sister, Norma Jean Irvin and son-in-law, Ron Reames.
Richard retired from International Harvester after over 30 years of service. He loved being around family and friends and especially enjoyed fishing, metal detecting and sitting around playing cards. Richard was a kind and caring man who never met a stranger and was loved by everyone.
Burial in Newson Chapel Cemetery.
