Sue Plunk Beck was born January 1, 1949 and raised in Bethel Springs, TN. She was called home April 24, 2017 at the age of 68 years after a long battle with lung cancer. She is the daughter of the late Joe and Maggie Plunk and is survived by her husband James Beck, whom she married on September 24, 1982.
Sue was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer. She was a previous employee of Brown Shoe Factory, a graduate of West Tennessee Business College, and retired from Southwest Human Resource Agency.
It was her dream to be a great-grandmother and she is survived by great-grandchildren William Hall and Jon Silas Wiggins due to be born September 2017.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Mary Jo Cartwright, Nellie Francis Plunk, Edward Plunk, Austin Plunk, and Larry Plunk. She is also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Freddy Rowland, and two beloved nieces Margie McCormick and Marsha Pearson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28 at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer at 12:00 PM. Visitation will precede the services at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will be at Lake Hill Memorial Gardens in Bethel Springs.
