Russell graduated from Taylor Center H.S. in 1971, where he was president of the National Honor Society. He had a successful career as a machine tool design engineer, was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, playing chess, traveling and was a member of MENSA. He attended Christ the King Lutheran Church in Chesterfield.

Visitation Sun. 2:00pm until service, 6:00pm, at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. (Shelby Twp.) 54880 Van Dyke @ 25 Mile Rd.
