Darlene was born in Seco, Kentucky on June 23rd, 1951, daughter of the late Robert B. Collins and Gene C. Collins. She was a mother, friend, psychologist and wife.
Darlene was survived by two sons, Jon-Brent and Jordan Bernard; one sister, Denise Collins Hughes; two granddaughters, Katherine Blair and Olivia Mae Bernard; three stepsons, Justin Spears, Christian Spears, and Nathan Speans; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Collins and Gene Collins; and her husband, William B. Spears.
A reception was held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at The Bridge at First Baptist Church in downtown Somerset, Kentucky.
A Celebration of Darlene's Life Service was held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at the First Baptist Church.
The Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky was in charge of the arrangements for Darlene.
