Robert Keith Catalano, 87, of Easton, PA, was welcomed into his eternal home on Monday April 24, 2017 in Manor Care.

Bob was born on November 11, 1929 in Scranton, PA, a son of the late Nicholas and Emilie Catalano.

Bob served in the US Armed Forces and was honorable discharged in October 1956. Bob and Irene moved their little family to Washington NJ in 1960 to work for Port Murray Dairy. He was employed for many years by Elastimold in Hackettstown, NJ, before retiring in 1999. Bob and Irene relocated to Easton, PA just prior to retirement. He worked for the Easton School District as a bus driver until retiring a second time. After retirement, he volunteered hundreds of hours in maintenance at the Good Shepherd Christian Academy, where his daughter was a first grade teacher. He was a devout Christian, active in his churches. He was a member of the Bethel Memorial Baptist Church in Easton PA where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Men’s Ministry leader, and Deacon. Earlier in life he was active at Mansfield Baptist Church and Faith Discovery Church in Washington, NJ. He was a youth leader with Youth For Christ in both Scranton, PA and Warren County, NJ.

Bob is survived by the former Irene Beers, his wife of 64 years; a sister Audrey and husband John; a brother Nicholas and wife Nancy; a son-in-law Jerry Scott; daughter-in-law Melonie Young; grandchildren Jason, Nathan, Stephanie, Jay, Sean, Christine, and Maribel; 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Robert Jr, in 1993; and a daughter Beverly J, in 2015.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 am in Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, 715 Chestnut Lane, Easton, PA. Interment will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp).
