Retha C. Adams, 93, of Charleston died at 3:16 p.m. Friday (March 18, 1994) in the Prairie View Care Center in Charleston.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home. Burial is at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation begins two hours before the funeral.
Mrs. Adams was born April 25, 1899, in Casey, the daughter of Henry and Allie Brandenburg Rennels. She married Clifford Adams in 1918; he died in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Bill Adams of Charleston; a daughter, Betty Duckworth of Wood River; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Adams was a former employee of the Brown Shoe Co., and operated the Rennels Nursing Home in Charleston for 17 years. She was a member of the Whetstone Baptist Church.
