Shelia Marie Taylor was born to the union of Guy Staples, Sr. and Mabel Lee Staples in Pineville, Kentucky on July 31, 1955. She went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the age of 61. Marie was preceded in death by both parents and her loving husband, Louis Taylor. Marie accepted Christ at an early age, her Christian fellowship was with First Church of God. She received a formal education in the Toledo Public School system graduating from Libbey High School. She shared her gifts for the sake of serving the world "helping people in compassion" as case worker for Lucas County Job and Family Services where she retired.

She was a Spiritual woman who not only knew the Word of God, but lived it on a daily basis. She loved kids, was a second mom to all of her nieces and nephews and "Aunt Marie" as she was affectionately known especially adored her great nieces and nephews. Some of her hobbies were watching basketball, playing cards on the computer, cooking, fishing and gardening.

Marie leaves to cherish many loving memories 3 brothers, Johnny, Robert and Rudy Staples (Jacque); 9 sisters, Ruth Craig (Richard), Ludi Heath (Harland), Brenda Staples, Carol Buchanan (Frank), Gwendolyn Tiggs (Andre), Debra Duffie (Hiram), Joetta Staples-Kynard (Mark), Robin K. Owens (Timothy), Barbara Staples (William); a special friend, Robert McAdoo; 5 aunts, Lula Richardson, Catherine Wilson, Leola Holston, Lucretia Davis and Mary Wilson; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Wake service will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017 10:00 a.m. followed by memorial service 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Church in Maumee, OH, interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Dale-Riggs Funeral Home.
