She was a homemaker and life long member of the Little Prairie Christian Church.
Dorothy was born August 25, 1922 to Louis Cowling and Della Procter Cowling.
She was united in marriage September 21, 1944 to Robert Shepherd who died August 5, 2011.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Ewing, and her husband, Paul, of Louisville, Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Brian Ewing and his wife, Erin, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Leanne Martyr and her husband, Ryan, of Longmont, Colorado and Amanda Pevoteaux and her husband, Marc, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
Graveside services for Dorothy Shepherd will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April, 26, 2017 at Graceland Cemetery in Albion, Illinois with Brother David Shain officiating.
Visitation will be held at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois Wednesday April 26, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern Illinois and will be accepted at the church or Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois.
