He was born in Flora, IL June 4, 1940, the son of Guilford and Mabel Pierce Lynn. He married Ruth Bassett in 1962. He was a member of South Freedom Church of Clay City.
Surviving are his widow, Ruth; his parents; two sons Rodney and Brian; a daughter, Melissa; two brothers, Ray and Leroy; three sisters, Ginger, Ruth Ann, and Charlene;
five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one grandson.
Funeral services were held at Summers/Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro Gene Everett and Bro Jim Thomas officiating.
Bural was in Wells Cemetery.
Memorials were made to Lincolnland Hospice.
