1940-2017
On the 24 of March, 1940, Olga was born in Maria Elena, Chile. She grew up to be really close with her mom and grandparents.
In Antofagasta she studied in the Health Department to be a nurse and she didn't leave that profession until she moved to the United States.
In 1962 she met Eduardo Abraham Acosta, the man that would soon become her eternal partner. 2 years later in 1964 they got married and have been together ever since. (They will live to be married for 53 years).
They also had three children, Eduardo Javier Acosta, Ivannia Yazmine Acosta, and Patricio Alberto Acosta. On November 5, 1987 they got sealed in the Santiago, Chile Temple.
They then immigrated to the United States in 1993. There she grew to be a spectacular Grandmother, who became very involved in her grandchildren's lives, all 11 of them. She took her nursing skills with her and put them into hard practice whenever any family member got sick.
Her favorite free time activity was to be with her grandchildren, even if it meant playing hide in seek for hours and cleaning up their mud pies off the kitchen floor.
She adored scrapbooking and loved soft classical music. She was always in the front row of any of her grandchildren's school performances.
When she was diagnosed with cancer she fought hard and bravely for many years up until her last few moments. On a beautiful Sunday morning, April 24, Olga passed away surrounded by her family. Her imprint in our lives will forever be remembered as a strong, loving Mother and Grandmother. And a Daughter of our Heavenly Father.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. Friends and family may visit that morning from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery.
