James Edward “Ed” Burson, age 72, passed away April 23, 2017. He was born July 27, 1944 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Lloyd George Burson and Nora Clyde Hightower Burson. He graduated from University of West Georgia and received a certificate for electrician training. He retired after having worked for Local Union #613 in Atlanta, Georgia and Local Union in Jacksonville, Florida as a certified electrician. Survivors include his children, Angela Dixon of Roseville, CA, and Scott Burson of Woodstock, GA; and five grandchildren, Daniel Burson, Bethany Burson, Emily Dixon, Claire Dixon, and Isaac Dixon. In keeping with the family’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
