Eva Mae Phillips Nelson, 65, went home to be with her Lord Sunday afternoon, April 23, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Eva was born September 23, 1951 to the late Glen Arthur and Frances Fine Phillips. She was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church, where she was the Sunday school teacher and was children’s church leader.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband; Jackie Dance Nelson, 2 sisters; Bonnie Morrison and Cindy Lawson, and her son in law; Jay Kitts
Eva is survived by her 3 loving children; Pamela “Pam” Kitts of Germanton, Angela Nelson, and Dean Nelson (Dana) all of Walnut Cove, 6 grandchildren; Nathan Kitts, Katelynn Kitts, Megan Overby, Jesse Nelson, Austin Nelson, Logan Nelson, and 2 great grandchildren; Harleigh Overby, and Wyatt Overby.
There will be a 2:00 pm funeral service on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Burroughs Chapel with Rev. Wayne Dunn Officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 pm, Thursday April 27, 2017 at Burroughs Funeral Home.
