Bertha Moore, age 90 of Union Valley, passed away on April 23, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 11 AM with Rev. Kathy Moore and Rev. Frankie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Nixon Cemetery. Bertha was born on March 23, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas to Henry Madison and Fannie Elizabeth (Judd) Hoffer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas C. Moore; son, Thomas C. Moore, Jr.; her parents; siblings, Mathew Hoffer, Ethel Garrett, Ella Garrett, Earl Hoffer, Mary Hamblin, Roy Hoffer, Robert Hoffer, John Hoffer, Grace Hanson, Mae Parker, and Hope Stahl. Bertha is survived by son, Mike Moore and wife Janis; daughter, Rev. Kathy Moore; granddaughters, Tiffany Washington and husband Jeff, and Bridget Slyker and husband Richard; great-grandchildren, John, Elizabeth, Nathan, and Sophie Washington, and Carter, Susannah and William Slyker; brother William Hoffer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless other dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Assembly of God, 2714 Hunters Green, San Antonio, Texas, 78231. These gifts will be given to buy Bibles for pastors in foreign lands.
