Rev. Harry Benmoin, 90, of Memphis, formerly of Lambert, retired Baptist minister, died Sunday, March 12, of heart failure at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 18, in Lambert with burial in Lambert Cemetery. Marks Burial Association has charge.

Rev. Benmoin had been affiliated with New Mt. Carmel at Lambert, New Haven Baptist of Sledge, McNeill Baptist Church of Crenshaw, and New Mt. Zion of Lambert. He was also a former president of the Quitman County Baptist Congress.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta Benmoin; four daughters, Ida Townsend and Ernestine Benmoin, both of Memphis, and Irene McAdory and Birda Wooden, both of Los Angeles; two sons, J. D. Benmoin of Los Angeles and Lucious Benmoin of Chicago; a granddaughter, Leilani Greenwood of Memphis, whom he raised; two brothers, Fred (and wife, Daisy) Hentz of Marks and Lutho Hentz of Clarksdale; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
