Mike, affectionately known as "Moose," "Wool," and "Paw Paw," attended Everman High School, where he was an excellent lineman for the varsity Bulldogs and graduated in 1971. Mike received a football scholarship to a small college in Oklahoma but instead chose to go to work for Chas F. Williams, and what a great choice! He was a faithful, valued and loved employee for 32 years. His passions in life were his love of God, family, the Bulldogs, and the Razorbacks. He was a walking sports trivia encyclopedia. Mike's quick wit and sense of humor were two of his most remarkable qualities. He used them to entertain others on stage and off. He was a self-taught fiddle player who loved music, especially bluegrass. He was lead singer and fiddle player for the band Overdrive and was president of the Southwest Bluegrass Club. Mike loved life and everything life had to offer.
Survivors: Loving and devoted wife of 11 years, Peggy; mother, Nancy Hawk and husband, Ken; father, Bill Wooldridge; daughter, Sharon Cain Delgado and husband, Arturo; son, Marty Cain and wife, Amanda; precious grandchildren, Damian, Kendall, Jacob, Sydney and Marcus; "Little Sister," Joanna Perez and husband, Robert; stepsister, Sharla Tesch and husband, Bob; and a host of other loving family members and friends who loved him.
