Steve Clifton James, 81, of Simpsonville, husband of Marilyn Creech James, died April 23, 2017.
Born in Rockingham County, NC, he was the son of the late Walter Clifton and Gertrude Shelton James.
Steve received his Bachelor’s Degree from NC State University and was a member of their Alumni Club. He served in the US Army, was a chemist in the textile industry, and was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 63 years, include two sons, Christopher Steven James and Brooks Allen James; and two grandchildren, Austin Brooks James and Meagan Dianne James.
