Kathy Jo Doyle, 67, of Vivian, LA, peacefully passed away Monday, April 24 after a valiant battle with cancer. There will be a time of visitation Wednesday, April 26 from noon to 2 p.m. at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian. Service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Scott officiating. Interment will follow at the Vivian Cemetery.

Kathy Jo was born on December 4, 1949 in Pueblo, CO and lived in the Vivian area for the past 30 years. She most recently was an antique guru at the Old Country Crow in Vivian. She loved researching, collecting and selling antiques and owls. She had a lifetime love of fishing and spending time at the lake. She was a fabulous cook and won awards in Colorado for her famous brisket. No one ever left her house hungry. Paul and Kathy Jo were known for their 4th of July parties and crawfish boils. They enjoyed going to NASCAR races, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and Mudbug Hockey games.

Kathy Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Doyle, her parents Frank and Dorothy Tekavec, her brother Steven Tekavec and nephews Alex and Nicholas Doyle.

She is survived by her children Brad (Becky) Barlish and Brenda (Rob) Estrada, brother, Mike Tekavec, in-laws Neil and Sandy Doyle, brother-in-laws Mike Doyle, Russ (Tangela) Doyle, and sister-in-law Johnna Doyle, her six grandchildren Hayden (Makaylee), Alysa (Wesley), Deanna (Aaron), Ashtyn, Cody (Ashley) and Scotty, great-grandchildren Cole and Rowdy as well as two on the way, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She will be dearly missed as she is rejoicing in the arms of her loving husband in Heaven.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Barlish, Rob Estrada, Hayden Bice, Cody Barlish, Scotty Martin, Gary Shelton, John David Reid, Michael Belote.

The family extends their sincere Thanks and appreciation to the cancer team at Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, University Health, Trinity Home Health Services and Aime Hospice Care.
Services are under the direction of Gorsulowsky Funeral Home, Vivian, Louisiana.
