Jerry John McCormick, 73, of Rocky Hill, loving husband of Maureen (Fedora) McCormick, passed away Saturday April 22, 2017. He was born April 1, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Robert and Audrey (Bowne) McCormick.

He was a graduate of Syracuse University. Prior to his retirement Jerry was employed as an engineer for 47 years at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft where his work included traveling to many countries around the world.

Jerry was a good, kind and gentle man and will be dearly missed. Including Maureen, his wife of 47 years, Jerry is survived by two sons Justin McCormick of Hoboken, NJ and Casey McCormick of Cromwell; a brother-in-law Peter Fedora and his wife Dani-Marie of Tolland and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was pre-deceased by a brother Major Richard McCormick, USMC.

Calling hours are Wednesday April 26th from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday April 27th at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill (everyone is asked to go directly to the church). Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Donations in Jerry's memory may be made to the American Cancer Association, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
