S. Sgt. G.I. Golder served in both WWII and Korea. Landed day 2 of D-Day in Normandy; was taken prisoner after the Battle of the Bulge and was held for 13 weeks as a prisoner of war by the Germans. Escaped with other surviving member of his unit, "Choppy" Harris, when being marched to an extermination camp.
Married to Helen E. Barber on September 5, 1943 in Milton, PA, and had 5 children, 4 still living.
