Zelpha Grasty, 89 of Thornton, died Monday, April 24, 2017 in Fordyce. She was born April 11, 1928 to the late Euen Shairrick and Lottie Mae Ballinger Shairrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Grasty; three brothers, J.T., Monroe, and Clifton Shairrick; and two sisters, Vera Clemons and Zera Lee Quarles and a first cousin who was like a sister to her, Dovie Shairrick Andreyev.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Ruby Shairrick and first cousin Vivanaye Owens Nutt.
