Nancy Lynn Bernard, 55, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Atlantic Beach, Florida, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home of cancer.

She was born May 16, 1961 in Cedar Falls, daughter of Jerry and Laurene Severson Bernard.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1979 and was employed by various brokerage and financial planning firms in Minneapolis and later in the Jacksonville, Florida area. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.

Survived by: her parents; a sister, Lisa (Chris) Congdon of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Jeff Bernard of Cedar Falls; and numerous friends.

Preceded in death by: paternal and maternal grandparents; and a brother, Tom Bernard.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church with private inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church or American Cancer Society.
