Mrs. Bettie Akin, wife of Judge Benton Akin, died Tuesday morning Oct. 2, 1906, aged 67. Daughter of the late Charles W. Emory, she lived all her life in this county. Buried in Emory graveyard. Undertaker, C. B. Richards. Services conducted by Rev. Chas. L. Fry, laid to rest by her two children, Charles and Eliza. Survived by husband, and 2 daughters, Mrs. W. L. Barnard and Mrs. Charles Shellenberger and 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary A. Jackson and Mrs. Albert Lee.
