Thomas Russell Draper, age 70, of Cedar Park, Texas, and formerly of the Martinsville, area passed away at 5:40 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. He was a retired dispatcher and recruiter for Bennett Motor Express in McDonough, Georgia and previously worked as a truck driver and commercial electrician.

Mr. Draper was born Sept. 7, 1946 at Charleston, the son of the late Robert Russell Draper and Phyllis Maxine Pankey Draper.

Survivors include children, Thomas Robert (Theresa) Draper and May Jolene Draper; sisters, Phyllis Ann (Terry) Craig, Lauretta Sue Wilson and Juanita (Rick) Fisher; brother, Donald (Debra) Draper; mother of his children, Darlene Hope Roe (Robert) Shanks; six grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Draper was a 1964 graduate of Martinsville High School and attended college at Champaign. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Cedar Park Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Black Water Baptist Church. Tom enjoyed motorcycle riding, reading, canvas painting and shooting guns.
