Terry J. Leitzel, 59, formerly of Ashland, passed away Friday at Reading Hospital, Reading.

Born in Ashland, Sept. 23, 1957, a son of the late Willard and Elizabeth Heffner Leitzel.

He was an Army veteran, serving as an MP.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Church, Ashland, where he served as a deacon for some time. He worked at Tri-State Envelope, Ashland, and most recently at Rubbermaid, Pottsville. He also was involved with Little League Baseball.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald, and sister, Dorothy.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Mary-Anne Gernavage Leitzel, Girardville; grandson, Christopher James Leitzel, Mount Carmel; four brothers: William, Rickey and David, all of Ashland, and Kevin, Texas; three sisters: Marianne and Brenda, both of Shamokin, and Cindy, Ashland.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements. Visit www.kullfuneral.com.
