She began her journey on October 13, 1933 in McDonald County, Missouri born to the late George Wilbur and Lucy Jane (Watson) Nims. On April 5, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas she was united in marriage to R.J. McCool and to this union five children were born. Maggie enjoyed fishing, painting, cooking and home remodeling. She worked very hard right alongside her husband in their family business. Maggie attended the First Baptist Church in Noel, Missouri. She lived for her family and cherished every moment spent with them.
Maggie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, R.J. McCool of Southwest City, Missouri; her children, Roy James McCool, Jr. of Pierce City, Missouri, Benjamin Alan McCool and wife, Marsha of Jerome Idaho, Larry Dean McCool and wife, Lisa of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shelley Gilgen and husband, Jody of Southwest City, Missouri, Pamela Gail Morrison of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two sisters, Pat Haas of Henrietta, Texas and Peggy Smith of Overland Park, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Tanzy, Benjamin, Kassie, Grant, Brad, Rist, Casey, Kyle and Hailey; 12 great grandchildren; as well as a host of family and friends who will dearly miss Maggie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Willadean Harnar; two brothers, Bill "Sonny" Nims and John Nims.
Memorial service for Maggie will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Dick Rogers will officiate.
