Matthew Owen Goodwin was born in Rockford,Illinois in 1968. My earliest memory of this other younger cousin, Is that I got to hold him with his mother's help since I was only 5 years old then. That was the day that he came home from the hospital at that point. He was my Great-Aunt Elaine's Youngest Child of Seven kids, & It seemed that this child would be the one who would grow up the Normal & Healthy one without the Tragidies of his Elder Siblings, Boy! Was I Wrong! This child would grow up one day to absolutely not Comb gray hair! I had moved away from Rockford many years ago, Now living in Wisconsin. I had managed to keep contact with one of my first cousin's, One night recently, The subject of our conversation had turned to Great-Aunt Elaine & Her bunch, Particularly, I had brought up Matthew, Since Maurice was already gone, But, What this cousin told me about my favorite Matthew, Who had apparently died in 2014 at the age of almost 46-years, Finally drove me to tears! I had sworn that this one was going to live a very long life, Boy! Was I Wrong yet again! I had watched him grow up, Only to hear those very bad words yet again! With the early death of Matthew, That leaves only Diane-(1946- ); & Steven-(1957- ) of Aunt Elaine's Kids Left. Matthew died on April 13th, 2014 in San Diego, California & Was cremated. The wherabouts of Both Maurice's & Matthew's Ashes are Unknown.
