Rev. Sims was born July 28, 1928 in Delhi, LA and went home to his heavenly Father on April 21, 2017. He was a pastor of Abundant Life Church for over fifty years, retired from Manville as a Supervisor of Plant 47, and was an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Sims.
Rev. Sims is survived by his four children, Jimmy Dale Sims, Judy Dycus, Janice Chasas and husband Peter, and Becky Sisson and husband Richard Glenn, Sr.; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Ates, Jason Dycus, Jules Reimonenq, Burt Crumley, Bob Howze,II, and Bob Howze III.
