SHAWN LEE FIELDS, 44, of Walton, West Virginia died April 9, 2017 at the Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, West Virginia after an extended illness.
He was born May 30, 1972 in Charleston, West Virginia a son of Tharon Lee Abbott Fields of Walton and the late John Dale Fields. He worked in the oil fields and also was a pipeliner, was a farmer and previously worked in surveying. He attended Johnson Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.
In addition to his mother, Shawn is survived by his wife, Melissa Ann “Missy” Nichols Fields; two daughters, Erica Lee Fields and Kaitlyn Ann Fields; two sons, Tyler Allen Nichols and Clayton Matthew Fields; one sister, Gail Williams of Deer Park, Texas; two brothers, Greg and Kevin Fields, both of Walton; and grandchildren, Tyson Allen Nichols, MicKinnley Hope Nichols, Timothy Edward Fields, Kaddle Alexander Fields, and another one on the way.
Service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, West Virginia with Pastor Steven Arbogast officiating. Burial will be in the Nichols/Shafer Cemetery, Walton. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, 206 Beauty Street, Spencer WV 25276 to assist with funeral costs.
