From The Daily News, Jan 27 2017:
Barbara Ann Whittle, born February 24, 1926, passed away in the comfort of her own home on January 14, 2017. She was 1 of 8 children born to Donald and Anna Wick Wilkins. Barbara graduated in 1944 and was the valedictorian of her class. Barbara then married Clarence (Bud) Whittle August 4, 1944 (72 years) who survives her at home. They have 4 daughters. She was known as "Baba" to many, including her 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. "Baba" was a super fun grandma!

Barb was a devoted wife to Bud and was with him at his side in whatever venture he chose. They did everything together -- hunting, fishing, gardening and working. They had the Four Corners Grocery for 20 years. She partnered with him on his timber falling jobs. She and Bud, along with daughter Susan and husband, Walt started Rocky Point Resort from the log home Bud and Barb built in Petersburg, AK. After retiring from Rocky Point, Bud and Barb built another log home in Petersburg, AK. They traveled between their home in Petersburg to their home in Idaho and their home in Castle Rock, WA. Bud and Barb definitely lived an adventurous life together! Barb loved to garden at their Castle Rock home and was famous for her sweet peas and beautiful berries. She was also known as the "Apple Pie Queen", (best ever apple pie!) and loved to bake. She was the happiest, sweetest person anyone could know and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of having her in their life!
