Antholene Blankenship Mullins, 91, of Rocky Mount, passed away at her home Thursday, December 31, 1998. She was a daughter of the late William Henry Jefferson Blankenship and Ina Dell Blankenship.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Booker Mullins; grandson, William Layman; sisters, Dotsie Blankenship, Mary Bernard; brothers, Paul and Emmett Blankenship.

Surviving are one son, Fred Booth Mullins of Rocky Mount; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Jack Turman of High Point, N.C., Ina and Ivy J. Layman, III and wife, Lisa of Ferrum, Bobby Worley, Jr., and wife, Christelle, of Vinton, Kim Layman Burton and husband, Tim, of Rocky Mount, Bethany Worley and husband, Glenn Gallien, of Dresden, Tenn., Tamar Turman Wood and husband, Bill, of Roanoke, Dean Turman and Yidi Jia of Honolulu, Hawaii; great-grandchildren, Ivy J. Layman, IV, of Ferrum, April Burton of Rocky Mount, Chelsea Layman of Ferrum, Madison Worley of Vinton and Casey Burton of Rocky Mount; sisters-in-law, Hattie Blankenship of Wirtz and Ora Brown of Roanoke.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 1999, at Franklin Memorial Park with Joel Jamison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad or Ferrum Fire Department. Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, is in charge of arrangements.
