Annice V Pearson *Goodnight, 106, of Gillespie, Macoupin Co, Illinois,
died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

She was born April 8, 1900, in Gillespie, the daughter of Luther Jackson Pearson and Susie Ann Voyles Pearson.

She was the Granddaughter of James M Pearson and Susan Unknown *Pearson; and George Wesley "Richardson" Voyles and Margaret Delilah Simpkins *Voyles.

She married Glenn Dewey Goodnight in 1921 in Edwardsville; he died in July 1969.

A daughter, Alice Jo Ann Brown, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Goodnight retired as a teacher in Macoupin County. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society and United Methodist Church in Gillespie, where she was a charter member of Polyannas.

Survivors:
Three grandchildren,
Glenn D. Brown and
Vivian "Vicki" DeWitt, both of Gillespie, and James K. Brown of Edwardsville, and

Two great-grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, United Methodist Church, Gillespie, the Rev. Rachel A. Stockle officiating.

Burial: Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville.

Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of arrangements.
