Orcinos C. Snyder was the son of Daniel Snyder who was born in Pennsylvania, and Jane (unknown) Snyder who was born in Virginia. They were pioneers to Ohio and then Missouri. Orcinos' parents died in Adair County, Missouri, and are buried at Bear Creek Cemetery in that county. Orcinos had the following known siblings:
