Esther Ingram Henry, 90, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Monday, January 13, 2003, in Tallahassee, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Henry; two daughters, Barbara Owens Webster, and Nancy Henry Nassar.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Charles Warren, and his sister, Constance Warren, both of Louisville; six grandchildren, Church Warren and his wife Sandra Warren, of Lexington, Kellie Mullins Horner and her husband, Mark Horner, Kim Mullins Harnden, of Tallahassee, and Chris Webster, of Jacksonville, and Robert Nassar, and Michael Nassar, of Cincinnati; great grandchildren: Christopher Horner, Matthew Horner, Nicole Harnden, T. J. Harnden, of Tallahassee, and Miranda Warren, of Lexington.

Esther Henry was born March 31, 1912, in Lee County, Kentucky. She settled with her family in Lexington about 1926, where she thereafter met and married Robert Henry. Together they raised two daughters and, for the most part, four grandchildren, and spent their happiest days at their home on Johnston Road, which was their second love.

Ms. Henry enjoyed the outdoors at the Henry home in northern Fayette County for more than 60 years as farmer and gardener. She came to befriend all who knew her at the Sunshine Coin laundromat in Hi Acres, where she was employed for about 17 years.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18th at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, with Lynn Buckles of Crossroads Christian Church officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends and family members at 1:00 Saturday at Chuch Warren's Lexington home at 280 Preakness Drive.

Mrs. Henry's dedication to her children and grandchildren made her the matriarch of a large and proud family. We are truly proud of Esther's contributions to her family and her community. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have known Esther can attest to her kindness, her wit, and her passion for life. She was a loving woman who touched many lives during her own, and she will be missed by all.

Thanks,
