Jeanne Gorman Kullen, 90, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Friendship Village.

Jeanne was born July 20, 1926, in Waterloo, daughter of John and Helen Luhring Gorman. She graduated from Our Lady of Victor Academy in 1942.



She married Dale Kullen on Sept. 2, 1944, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He died on Aug. 19, 1987. She worked for the Waterloo Board of Realtors, Pioneer Advertising and retired from the Iowa Department of Social Services. Jeanne was a member of Queen of Peace Church, and volunteered there. She also volunteered with the Friendship Village Auxiliary. She received the Mayors Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Award in 2006.



Survived by: three sons, Dan (Pat) of Grayson, Ga., Kevin (Vic) and Thomas, both of Waterloo; six daughters, Kathy (Dave) Martin of Waterloo, Andie (Dave) Hirsch of Janesville, Theresa Kullen of Longmont, Colo., Mary Beth (Larry) Skiles of Cedar Falls, Janice (Jim) Kullen-Savage of Waverly and Kelli (Jim) Harn of Waterloo; a brother, Jack Gorman of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Kullen of Denver; a brother-in-law, Don Colgan of Riverside, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Gorman of Arlington Heights, Ill.; 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandaughter; and many nephews and nieces.



Preceded by: her husband, Dale; a son, Tim Kullen; three brothers, Daniel, Fred and Mike Gorman; three sisters, Thelma Whorton, Eileen Hanson and Mary Jo Colgan; a son-in-law, John Lemon; and a great-grandson, Tye Savage.
