An Army Veteran who served in Afghanistan, he fought in Khost Province, for 12 months in 2008 with the 101st Airborne Division where he earned the Combat Infantry Badge.
He was a cook.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dianna Kay Burgess; his uncle, Johnny Burgess; his grandmother, Juanita Blanche Holt Burgess; and his great-grandmother, Hazel “Eva” Holt.
Survivors include his daughter, Zoe Lynnette Burgess of Huntsville; one sister, Danita Lynnette Webber of Springdale; and his fiancée, Alice Michelle Hart of Huntsville.
Memorial services are on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Owens officiating.
Private interment follows in the Lower Campground Cemetery.
