McAllen Monitor, McAllen, Texas, Thursday, January 20, 1977, Page 3, Col. 9: Mrs. Katie C. Aycock, 92, of McAllen, died Tuesday at the TLC Nursing Center in Harlingen following a lengthy illness. A native of Medina County, Tex. she moved to McAllen from Willacy county one year ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hope Fletcher of McAllen and Mrs. Grace Jeffers of Del Rio; a brother, Leonard Lee of Hay Springs, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Nielson of Auberry, Calif.; eight grandchildren, one of whom is Gary Fletcher of McAllen, and 12 great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in state until 9 p.m. today at the Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park in La Feria with the Rev. Ron Corzine of the First Baptist Church of Combes officiating.
