Ardeth Anne (Ainsworth) Jones, age 80, of Oklahoma City left this earth on April 20, 2017 to live with her heavenly Father, whom she loved so much. Ardeth was born in Plainview, TX, on February 25th, 1937 to Addie Mae (Brown) and Richard M. Ainsworth. She attended Edgemere Grade School, Harding Jr. High, and graduated from Classen High School in 1955. She attended Columbia College in Columbia, MO, and graduated from Oklahoma Business School in Oklahoma City, OK. She married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) S. Jones on September 1, 1956.

Bob once said that Ardeth woke up every day with a smile on her face. She loved to make people laugh with her charming wit and humor. Ardeth was very welcoming to other people and a fabulous hostess. She was always involved in any organization that she joined. She served in several capacities in Garden Club, she was a docent at the Oklahoma Museum of Art and enjoyed Art League. Her hobbies included cooking, playing MahJongg and rubber stamping.

Ardeth treasured the Lord and had a deep faith in Him. She loved her relationship with Jesus Christ and had a strong belief that He would answer her prayers. Her favorite verse was Mark 11:24 – "Therefore, I say unto you, Whatever you ask in prayer, believe you will receive it and it will be yours." Through the years, several friends and family asked her to pray for them as she seemed to have a special connection to God.

Ardeth was very involved in Our Lord's Community Church and served as Deacon, taught the Bethel Bible series, served in the Prayer and Welcoming ministries. She also served in a ministry to young mothers and she loved sharing her wisdom, humorous stories, recipes, and other ideas to make a happy home.

She loved to entertain in her home and hosted so many church events, wedding and baby showers, parties for friends and family and holidays. People always said that she made it look so easy. She was the social chairman of the home and she enjoyed getting friends together.

Ardeth and Bob loved to travel all over the world and often, took family members with them.
