Anna Louise Payne, age 83, of Aquilla, passed away early Friday morning, April 21, 2017 at Providence Health Center in Waco.
 
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Vaughan Cemetery near Aquilla, with Rev. Dennis Rejcek officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until service time at the cemetery.
 
Anna was born October 18, 1933 in Dawson, the daughter of George and Erma Lee (Woodlee) Etter. She was a 1951 graduate of Aquilla High School. On March 6, 1953, Anna was united in marriage to Charlie Payne Jr. in Hillsboro. Charlie preceded her in death on February 10, 2001. Anna was an insurance agent for several Dallas area Insurance Companies for 35 years and worked for First National Bank in Whitney for 10 years before retiring in 2008. She was a very active and faithful member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church in Aquilla. She enjoyed reading and playing dominoes and Bunco with her friends.
 
Anna is also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Jay Payne; brothers, John and Charles Etter; and sisters, Virginia Christian, Margueriette Blalack and Erma Roberts.
 
Survivors include a son, Charles Payne; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Payne; a brother, Livy Etter and wife Pauline; sisters, Peggy Montgomery and Molly Nichols and husband Loyd; grandchildren, Mikel Payne, Lesley Payne, T.J. Payne and wife Ashley and Zack Payne; great grandchildren, Coleby, Peyton and Wyatt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vaughan Cemetery Association or to Lebanon United Methodist Church.
