C.J. Sheridan is buried at Tea Lane Graveyard. Sheridan was born in Celbridge on the 18th of January 1900. He was one of twelve children born to William Joseph Sheridan and Mary Sheridan (nee Murphy). They lived at 35 Main St. Celbridge with an adjoining piggery, fowl house, turf house and workshop. William Sheridan was a boot maker by trade. In 1918 their son Charles joined the Royal Air Force, he had just turned 18 years of age.Charles is described as being 5 feet 6 and a half inches with brown hair and brown eyes. He was trained as an air mechanic and sadly lost his life on a test flight on the Bristol Braemar aged 21 years. As it took off it struck the corner of a hanger and was completely wrecked.
