He married on June 13, 1861 in Knox Co. Illinois to Lucy Ann Luper. Lucy born 7-26-1843, died 7-20-1924 Lincoln, Nebraska. Burial in Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska with daughter Perla and family.

Effie born August 1869,died by 1880.
Robert, who became a Minister.
