Mrs. Catalano worked for Bonds Clothing, Lorain, and then at State Employment Bureau, Lorain. During the 1950s, she helped her husband run a golf driving range and drive-in food stand on West Erie Avenue, near Vermilion.
Survivors include one son, one daughter; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo, in 2002; sisters Ann Chibola, Mary Ondick and Ethel Sloboda; and brothers George Balko and Joseph Balko.

Elizabeth A. Catalano (nee Balko), 80, of Lorain, died Wednesday November 13, 2002 at Golden Acres Nursing Home in Amherst.
She was born January 14, 1912 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
