Kathryn Coray Taylor, 97, passed away December 31, 1999, at the Salt Lake Regency Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her granddaughter, Kathleen, grandson, Craig, and his wife, Carole, by her side. She was born Feb. 24, 1902, in Salt Lake City, the daughter of George Q. and Katherine Burt Coray. She married Clifton Taylor June 26, 1919. They had one daughter, Barbara, who married Reg Chapman.Preceded in death by both Clifton and Barbara. Kathryn spent a number of years in a supervisory position as an employee of the LDS Church. She retired in 1972 while an assistant to the personnel director.
She is survived by one brother, Dale Coray of Monrovia, CA; grandchildren, J. Neil Chapman, Kathleen C. Dabose and Craig and his wife Carole Chapman. Also survived by a son in law, Reg Chapman; and two great-granddaughters of San Jose, CA. Her family and friends will deeply miss her. She was a very special lady. Private family services will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary.
