Linzie Buck, 63, of Crenshaw, retired employee of Kentucky-Tennessee Clay Co., died Thursday, January 23, 1997, at Senatobia Community Hospital after a heart attack.

Services were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, at Rose Chapel Church of God in Christ with burial in Longtown Cemetery. Delta Burial Corp. of Marks had charge of arrangements.

He was a part-time mechanic and a volunteer with the Crenshaw Fire Department. Mr. Buck was a deacon at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church and was a gospel singer with the Crenshaw Gospel Aires. For a time he hosted "The Linzie Buck Show" from a radio station in Senatobia.

Mr. Buck, the husband of Mildred Kelson Buck, also leaves two daughters, Queen E. Morgan of St. Louis and Bonnie Buck Watson of Crenshaw; six sons, James O. Buck of Como, Willie J. Buck, Bobby Buck and Percy Buck, all of Crenshaw, and James Presley and Linzie Buck, Jr., both of Memphis; his mother, Cornelia Buck of Crenshaw; eight sisters, Clotea Norwood, Minnie Buck and Frankie Clay, all of St. Louis, May Ruth Corley, Rosie L. Lane and Laura Buck, all of Crenshaw, Lurlee White of AL and Gloria Geter of Senatobia; four brothers, January Buck of Cleveland, OH, A. K. Buck of KY, Billie Buck of Jackson and Will Buck of Memphis; 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
