...Chloe May O'Roark, daughter of Elias and Sarah Jane Elston was born Dec. 21, 1870 in Labette county, Kansas and passed away at the home of her son-in-law, D. J. Roe, 224 South Walnut Olathe, Kans., the evening of Dec. 1, 1947.
...Mrs. O'Roark moved to Johnson County in 1873 with her parents and has lived in the vicinity of Olathe since that time. She was a member of the Olathe Christian church.
...She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. D. J. Roe, 224 South Walnut, Olathe, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Brown, Olathe; Mrs. Grace Faulk, Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, George Elston, Chico, Calif. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
...Services will be held in the Julien Chapel Thursday afternoon, Dec. 4, at 1:00 o'clock conducted by the Rev. W. E. Babb, pastor of the Christian church of Olathe. Burial will be in the Olathe City cemetery.
