Mr. Travis died Thursday in a Charlotte hospital. He was a son of the late H. McDonald and Mollie Setzer Travis of Catawba county and was born March 3, 1889.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sadie Sells Travis; five daughters, Mrs. Allen W. Kemp and Mrs. W.A. Arthur of Charlotte, Mrs. Ernest F. Wade of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. G.D. Pierce of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Roy R. Gardiner of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Alfred G. Travis, Jr., of Jacksonville, Charles A. Travis of Miami, Fla., and Joseph C. Travis of Charlotte; two half brothers, Rollin and H.M. Travis, both of Hickory; a brother, Herbert Setzer Travis of Asheville, a sister, Mrs. C.B. Fitzpatrick, of Macon, Ga.
