Todd Bowman, age 53, passed away on Tuesday.

Funeral services for Todd Bowman, age 53, are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Darden Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bowman passed away late Tuesday. He was born September 20, 1963 in Madison County. Mr. Bowman was a Narcotics Investigator for the Lexington Police Department. He started his law enforcement career in 1998 with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of the National Guard for a number of years. He loved God and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was an avid body builder, loved helping others, and was humble, soft-spoken, and passionate. Mr. Bowman was a great husband and loved his children.

Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Mrs. Nitra Lynn Bowman of Darden; his four children, Derek Bowman, Billy Joe Bowman, Jesslyn Bowman, and Camryn Bowman of Lexington; his parents, Henry and Maxine Staggs Bowman of Parsons; and his sister, Tammy Redfern of Parsons.

Henderson Co. Sheriff’s Dept. investigating death of Lexington police officer

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.-The Henderson County Sheriff confirms his department is investigating the death of a long-time narcotics investigator with the Lexington Police Department.

The sheriff said Todd Bowman’s wife came home this evening and found him dead. Sheriff Brian Duke said at this time they do not suspect foul play and are not looking for a suspect.

Bowman’s body will be taken to Nashville for an autopsy.
