Born July 1, 1946, in Florence, he was the son of the late Clarence Young and the late Eula Lee Bass Young.Donnie served in the United States Army, where he was inducted in October 1, 1963 at Fort Jackson, SC and was discharged on November 8, 1966 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.He later worked for Carolina Freight Carriers for many years until he retired from ABF Carriers and was disabled.
He loved fishing with his wife, children and his best friend, Al Dennis. He loved working with his wife in the yard and spending time with his special friends, Rose and Clyde Mixon. He loved his children and all of his four legged children.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Adrian Young; his son, Kenneth Young; his daughter, Angie Lee and his son-in-law, Tony McLendon.
