He was born on April 16, 1928 in Centerville, Texas to Mark and Ruby (James) Wells. Joe married the love of his life Linda Marie Phillips on December 20, 1947 in Weatherford, Texas. He retired after 42 years from Cadenhead Construction as a Construction Superintendent. Joe was also a rancher for many many years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Linda Wells of Hillsboro; sons, Mark Wells and Curtis Wells of Cleburne; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, James “Pete” Wells and many numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Wells and Ruby (James) Wells; brother, Bonnie D. Wells and sister, Dora M. Gludd.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the New Salem Cemetery in Centerville, Texas.
