Born in Alamance County on March 30, 1966, Doug was the son of Lamont Alfred Dixon, Jr. and Edna Bradsher Dixon, both whom preceded him in death.
Doug loved nature and the outdoors. He was a machinist with GKN in Mebane.
Survivors include his long time mate, Heather Gillette; son, Kole Dixon of Mebane; daughter, Andie Mueller and husband Stephen, of Harrisburg; step-son, Phillip Irons of Vermont; step-daughter, Kira Milton of Roxboro; grandson, Dietrich Mueller; brothers, Dale Dixon and wife Sandy, of Mebane, Danny Dixon and wife Cindy of Siler City; sisters, Sherrie Kaiser and husband Frank of Mebane, Patricia Ross and husband Forrest “Woody” of Saxapahaw; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 21, 2017 at Hebron United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 – 10:45 am Friday at the church.
